[May 23, 2013] Ingenico unveils single payment solution for Italian petrol stations Tweet May 23, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Ingenico, a provider of payment solutions, has announced that it will supply Italian petrol stations with H24 solution, a payment solution, through a single terminal enabling to accept most professional cards. According to the company, the H24 solution provides petrol stations with the integration of their own systems with faster operations and gives them greater control in the transactions processed, with a fully secure system. In the first stage, the solution is aimed at independent petrol stations in order to offer their customers added-value services, and it includes the management of fuel cards of the main international operators. In the second stage, the solution will include the management of any bank card. The target is to equip over 1.000 stations by end of 2013. This application has been available for the Spanish Petrol market since August 2010, and now in Italy. The H24 mobile application will also be available free of charge on Google Play and in the App Store: it is intended for any person downloading it to perform certain functions from their mobile, such as planning travel routes, finding the geographical location of petrol stations, detecting radar, etc., and even blocking H24 cards, the company said. Ingenico Italia is entrusted with the marketing and distribution of the terminals, and Ingenico Iberia deals with licence for use of software, the lines of communication, the software of the terminal in Italian, and the technical support guarantee. The selected terminals are the iCT250 and the iWL250. The desk top terminals iCT250 have a compact and ergonomic design. One EMV contactless payment option, approved by MasterCard and Visa payWave, accepts payments with a card and through NFC. The iWL250 is a pocket payment terminal and with 3G connection, which makes it possible to pay in different ways, including chip card reader, magnetic strip and signature recognition. They are designed to comply with security standards, as well as EMV and PCI PTS 3.x.
