Encore Networks Launches Next-Gen 4G Router Family

May 23, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Encore Networks, a provider of M2M solutions for fixed and wireless communications, announced the launch of its 4G LTE/HSPA+ broadband router, the EN-4000.

According to a release, the high throughput EN-4000 will add speed, capacity, and flexibility to Encore's portfolio of IP+Legacy wireline/wireless routers.

The first in the 4000 series, the company noted, the EN-4000 is an Ethernet to 3G/4G model, supporting single or simultaneous dual wireless carriers. Subsequent releases this year will include user configurable slots for legacy wireline interfaces such as T1, fiber, 2 and 4-wire analog voice, alarm contacts, RS-232, serial and VoIP services.

The EN-4000 delivers TCP/IP Ethernet and wireline based services, transported over either public or private 4G LTE and HSPA+ wireless cellular carrier networks for both North American and International deployments.

The Encore EN-4000 is on display in the Wyless Booth at the CTIA Show in the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, which runs through May 23. The Encore EN-4000 will be available in July.

"Encore continues to design and build products in the United States that meet the rigorous demands of our customers for mission critical applications," said Peter Madsen, President and CEO of Encore Networks. "With its high availability and fiber like speeds using 4G wireless services, the EN-4000 addresses the enterprise and SMB needs for business continuity. Customer feedback during initial trials has been overwhelmingly positive because of the easy to use WEB interface and the utilization of two different carriers for traffic load balancing and failover." The compact and EN-4000 provides IP, VPN, Firewall, Ethernet Switching and Legacy protocol to IP interworking for a range of M2M, SCADA, Video Surveillance and Enterprise applications. Available in both extended commercial temperature (-20 C to +65 C) and ruggedized temperature hardened units (-40 C to +85 C), the EN-4000 can be installed in a wide range of environmental conditions with optional AC/DC power or Power over Ethernet (PoE) installation flexibility.

Madsen continued, "By leveraging our expertise in integrated legacy wireline interfaces and protocols directly into our products, Encore has always provided solutions that our customers rely on to meet their needs without losing any of their CAPEX investment. We will continue to do so with the EN-4000 portfolio." More information: www.encorenetworks.com ((Comments on this story may be sent to [email protected]))
