LGS Innovations to upgrade USGS wireless local area networkMay 22, 2013 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) subsidiary LGS Innovations said it has been selected for a multiple-award blanket purchase agreement by the US Geological Survey to expand and improve its wireless local area network infrastructure. The agreement has a maximum value of USD2.9m over three years. When selected for individual project awards, LGS will provide program support for the expansion and improvement of infrastructure including hardware, software, design services, installation, maintenance, repair, and warranty support at any of the USGS' approximately 200 sites. To support the USGS, LGS has partnered with Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) to provide the wireless networking equipment and device access management software.
