Project 'at forefront of green and technological advances' [Newcastle Journal (England)](Newcastle Journal (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NEW high-tech eco business centre One Trinity Green is powering ahead using state-of-the-art electronic communications systems to fulfil its environmental promise of being green and clean. Not only was award-winning design technology used in its cutting- edge construction, but it also has high-end IT and telecoms technologies and capabilities including super-fast internet, wireless connectivity and a stunning telephony platform. These systems run through its 35 offices, four workshops and two hybrid units and are designed to complement its incredibly sophisticated eco-friendly construction, guaranteeing tenants super- fast and instant world-wide communications. The flagship centre has 100Mb internet connection backed by a resilient Ethernet First Mile service running over an alternative network, ensuring continuity for service users should there be an internet connection failure. It is boosted further by a Mitel(R) IP telephony platform, which provides users with the best and most impressive communications and functionality currently available. Tenants can also benefit from a tailored lines and calls package - provided by North East managed solutions provider Aspire Technology Solutions, which is contracted to run and engineer the high-tech communications system - providing low-cost communications while enabling them to keep their existing telephone number. These facilities come backed by comprehensive 24-hour support, designed to ensure business-critical systems run with peace of mind and assurance, and without incident. Combined, they have put the 30,000 sq ft, Pounds 5.4m development for new and growing companies, at the heart of the North East's high- tech green future. Nigel Begg, managing director of Aspire, said: "One Trinity Green has been equipped with a range of enterprise-enhancing services, which include high-speed internet access, state-of-the-art telephony and wireless connectivity. "We monitor, manage and maintain the IT infrastructure within One Trinity Green 24-hours-a-day using RealCARE, our complete management solution which enables our technicians to detect and fix faults before users are even aware of them, resulting in a seamless and quality service. "All office units are equipped with a range of desktop devices that are among the lowest consumers of power in the industry, further adding to the green credentials of the flagship project. These technological capabilities give One Trinity Green and its business users incredible communications and put it at the forefront of both green and technological advances." The superb facilities, complemented by a roof-top garden, informal communal areas, car parking, 24-hour access, flexible "easy- in, easy-out" tenancy agreements, and specialist support for businesses, have attracted a diverse range of businesses to move in. They include Performance Horizon Group, which has created a unique software platform for real-time management of performance marketing campaigns and Nine, whose Juice software solution and mobile application helps people change lifestyle habits. Paul Fellows, chief operating officer of Performance Horizon Group, which also has offices in Sydney, Baltimore, Mumbai, New York and London, said: "We work in different time zones with clients all over the world and it is vital that we are based in offices with state-of-the-art communications, video conferencing and 24-hour access. "As a high-technology company, we have a very tight technical spec about what we need from our premises, and One Trinity Green fits that perfectly." Andy Walton, managing director of the Nine Software Company, said his technology investments were maximised by the technology at One Trinity Green, adding: "It is essential that we have access to such fast-performing and reliable internet connectivity. "One Trinity Green provides all the high technology that we need to operate to the very best of our capabilities. It is a tremendous place to be based, and we know we have all the support we need to ensure the business goes from strength to strength." The long-term impact of One Trinity Green's design has also been recognised. It has won this year's prestigious The Legacy - Sustainability Award from industry body Constructing Excellence in the North East. Judges praised the environmentally-sound principles on which the centre, a collaboration between South Tyneside Council and Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle - and benefiting from Pounds 2,466,500 of European Regional Development Fund, managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government - is built. The development, in Eldon Street, South Shields, South Tyneside, is also the holder of a five-star "outstanding" rating from the Building Research Establishment for its use of visionary environmental technologies and energy systems. Coun Michael Clare, lead member regeneration and economy at South Tyneside Council said: "Technology is at the forefront of business, as it not only enables companies to successfully operate and go about their daily lives but it's also an exciting means of pushing the boundaries to achieve what is possible in this day and age. "One Trinity Green is the perfect example of this philosophy, as the very fabric and foundations used to create the building allows the businesses housed under its eco roof to be inspired and excel in their chosen field. "The building offers tenants and other users access to technological services that are second to none in the region. "One Trinity Green provides people with the very best tools to enable their business to flourish and move in the right direction, as South Tyneside is happy to set the marker for others to follow." It is a tremendous place and we have the support we need to ensure the business goes from strength to strength (c) 2013 ProQuest Information and Learning Company; All Rights Reserved. |
