[May 21, 2013] Mellanox's InfiniBand solution deployed by Cloud Provider as private and public cloud interconnect Tweet May 21, 2013 (WORLDWIDE COMPUTER PRODUCTS NEWS via COMTEX) -- Mellanox Technologies Ltd (Nasdaq:MLNX) (TASE: MLNX), a supplier of end-to-end interconnect solutions for data centre servers and storage systems, announced on Monday that its InfiniBand solutions have been chosen by Cloud Provider, a cloud hosting and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider in the Netherlands, as a standard interconnect infrastructure for its enterprise cloud deployments. Financial details of this selection were not available. Cloud Provider offers its customers a cloud platform to build and scale applications and websites on-demand. By utilising Mellanox's InfiniBand interconnect solutions, Cloud Provider has reportedly reduced its cost of deployment and decreased the complexity of its data centre environments, providing its customers with a significantly higher performance cloud-computing platform at an overall lower price. In addition, the company said Cloud Provider decided to use InfiniBand over 10 or 40 Gigabit Ethernet as the core of its offering, due to InfiniBand's high levels of return on investment and superior application cost/performance.
