[May 20, 2013] Norden adds VSAT Communications services to global fleet Tweet May 20, 2013 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Norden A/S, an independent shipping company headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, has extended its agreement with Harris (NYSE: HRS) CapRock Communications to provide broadband communications to Norden's global fleet of 39 bulk carrier and tanker vessels. The agreement expands an initial contract awarded in March 2012 to support 39 vessels. Harris CapRock will provide each Norden vessel with end-to-end Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) communications that enables corporate networking, Internet access, voice communications, real-time monitoring and reporting, and crew morale services. The turnkey solution includes network design, equipment and installation, service and 24/7 support from Harris CapRock's Customer Support Center. To date, Harris CapRock has successfully installed 30 vessels of the Norden fleet.
