BRIEF: Perficient buys San Francisco consulting firm Clear Task [St. Louis Post-Dispatch](St. Louis Post-Dispatch (MO) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) May 17--Information technology consulting firm Perficient Inc. has acquired San Francisco-based consulting firm Clear Task Inc., for $7.9 million, expanding its West Coast reach. The acquisition includes $6.3 million in cash and $1.6 million worth of Town and Country-based Perficient's common stock. Clear Task, which has about $8 million in annual services revenue, has nearly 50 employees. Perficient said it's raising its full year 2013 revenue guidance to between $362 million and $382 million, from the previous estimate of between $358 million and $378 million. "For quite some time we've been working to find the right Salesforce consulting team to add to Perficient," Perficient's CEO and president Jeffrey Davis said in a statement. "In Clear Task, we've found a firm with an excellent reputation, and one that is well-run with impressive bill rates and margins. This transaction represents a key strategic investment we're making to expand our cloud offerings." The purchase is the second for Perficient this month.
