Polar Stride Sensor Bluetooth Smart Now In Stock At HRWC

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) May 17, 2013 The Polar Stride Sensor Bluetooth Smart is the first ever Bluetooth Smart stride sensor to connect directly to iPhone 5 or 4S to deliver all run data.

"This is big because it is the first stride sensor to ever be able to transfer run data to a Bluetooth Smart enabled iPhone," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "In all likelihood many heart rate monitors and GPS watches in the near future will likely be embedded with Bluetooth Smart for data sharing with smartphones." BLUETOOTH SMART IS THE FUTURE Already, the Garmin Edge 510 bike computer uploads data and locational maps directly to Garmin Connect or Facebook in real-time. "The future allows device data to interact in real-time with a data network and socially," says Squire. He adds, "The other advantage is that batteries last nearly twice as long as Bluetooth Smart compared with traditional ANT+ technology." HOW TO USE IT Download the Polar Beat App, or another third party app that is Bluetooth Smart compatible, to your iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (5th generation), iPad (3rd & 4th generation) and iPad mini (7th generation).

The Polar Stride Sensor Bluetooth Smart transmits speed, distance and cadence data right to the iPhone with the Polar Beat App. "Simply place the iPhone in an armband, pocket or waist belt and you are good to go," says Squire.

Right now the Garmin fenix is the only watch unit with Bluetooth Smart embedded but over the course of the next year there should be more according to Squire.
