(Japan Economic Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TOKYO, May 17 -- (Kyodo) _ ---------- 3 Japanese firms to invest in U.S. LNG project TOKYO - Japanese trading houses Mitsui & Co. and Mitsubishi Corp., and shipping firm Nippon Yusen K.K. said they will invest in a U.S. liquefied natural gas project to secure future LNG imports into Japan. Mitsui and a Mitsubishi-Nippon Yusen joint venture will each take a 16.6 percent stake in a unit of Sempra Energy Corp. to invest in the $9 billion-10 billion project to build LNG production facilities with a total annual capacity of 12 million tons in Louisiana.
