Huawei's North American Wireless User Group Provides Update on Annual Meeting


May 17, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Huawei announced that its North American Wireless Users Group, a gathering of wireless customer executives and technical experts, convened in Plano from May 8 to May 9 for its 2013 annual meeting to discuss ways to improve relationships and practices between Huawei and its operator partners.

According to a release, all participants reinforced their dedication to extending ubiquitous wireless broadband to American consumers.

The Huawei North American Wireless User Group was created in 2011 as a vehicle for Huawei's wireless customers to meet with the Huawei executives and technical experts for the following purposes: -Allow Huawei customers to share information and best practices between themselves -Allow Huawei to share information with its customers -Drive continuous improvement for both Huawei and its customers He Ming, President of Huawei Technologies USA, opened the 2013 Annual Wireless User Group meeting by confirming Huawei's future US plans: "Huawei has maintained its growth in the global market in 2012, and thanks to our US customers' contribution, Huawei Technologies USA also enjoyed healthy growth in the US market. We are committed to this market and will keep brining innovations and values to our customers and end consumers alike." Eldon Prax, VP of Engineering for LEACO Rural Telephone Cooperative, speaking on wireless network security concerns, commented that: "The Huawei team went above and beyond to assist our network experts in problem resolution and network stability. With the heightened focus on network security in today's ecosystem, it was paramount that Leaco and Huawei proactively address security concerns to insure network excellence." Noting that LEACO which serves southeast New Mexico with Wireless and Wireline products and services had selected Huawei as the core, RAN and professional services vendor of choice for its upcoming LTE migration, Prax added: "We are proud to be Huawei powered and look forward to bringing 4G services to southeast New Mexico."
