United Network Services acquires Airband Communications


May 16, 2013 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- United Network Services, Inc., a provider of data network and carrier services, has acquired Airband Communications, Inc., a provider of fixed wireless broadband services, in an all-stock transaction. Both the companies are based in the US.

The combined company will operate under the name United Network.

Announcement (May 7, 2013): United Network has agreed to acquire Airband Communications.


Earlier, Airband had secured investment from ABRY Partners, LLC, Ignition Partners, Key Venture Partners, M/C Venture Partners, Trilogy Equity Partners, Dolphin Equity Partners, L.P., Driehaus Capital Management LLC and Crescendo Venture Management, LLP.

The transaction is expected to close within thirty days.
