Huawei, ZTE May Face Investigation in Europe

SHENZHEN, May 16, 2013 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The European Commission decided to launch antidumping and anti-subsidy investigation into wireless communication network and key equipment from China, focusing on European business under top two Chinese communication equipment makers Huawei Technologies and ZTE Corporation (SEHK: 0763 and SZSE: 000063).

Hosuk Lee-Makiyama, director of the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE), pointed out that the European Commission also hoped to solve the dispute through negotiations, not deciding to launch related investigation shortly. Actually, the European Commission has controversy for sanction on telecom products from China.
