Optus cranks up 4G for growthMay 15, 2013 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Singtel Optus plans to lift profit growth within three years through increased demand for fourth generation (4G) mobile services. The telco posted revenue of $A8.93 billion for the fourth quarter of 2012-13, a decline of 4.6 per cent. Profit for the year to 31 March fell by 7.5 per cent to $A728 million. CEO Kevin Russell said that the telco will invest in 4G services, which will increase profit from the mobile telephone division.
