Marvell to Leverage OptimalTest's Test Management Software Solution [Health & Beauty Close - Up](Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) OptimalTest, a company focusing on enterprise-wide test management solutions, said that Marvell has agreed to use its Test Management Software Solution to expand the implementation of OptimalTest solutions throughout Marvell's organization and global supply chain. In a release, the Company said that this decision came after the successful completion of a pilot project using its solutions, in which Marvell realized significant results in yield and utilization. The worldwide implementation includes both wafer sort and final test operations. "We are delighted to partner with Marvell, one of the top semiconductor companies and a global force in the industry, as they continue to adopt the Optimal Enterprise solution worldwide and across their entire fleet of testers," said Dan Glotter, CEO and president of OptimalTest. "Forward-looking companies like Marvell now realize that test management solutions are key to gaining significant, not just incremental, improvements in their test operations." Developed to deliver integrated test management and optimization of products, processes and operations throughout globally dispersed semiconductor ecosystems, OptimalTest's solutions improve yields, reduce test times and accelerate early detection of testing issues, thus enabling strong ROI. Marvell's deployment will include a combination of OptimalTest's utilization and early detection expert- system-based solutions integrated across the test process, which will help to establish a common language across all departments, in addition to increasing yield and quality. "With the OT toolset, we were able to collect and analyze data concerning equipment utilization and yield losses as a result of equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions immediately. We concluded that in order to more tightly manage our supply chain, we had to execute a full enterprise implementation of the toolset," said Dr. Albert Wu, vice president of operations at Marvell Semiconductor, Inc.
