Markley Group Strengthens Connectivity Hub with Increased Bandwidth for Several of the Largest Network Providers

Markley Group, one of the most secure and advanced data centers in America, today announced that several of the largest network providers have increased bandwidth amounts into the Boston data center's Cross Connect Room (CCR), a professionally managed interconnection facility. Driven in large part by the proliferation of private and public cloud installations at One Summer Street - including the recent launch of Markley Cloud Services - providers such as Lightower (and Sidera), Hibernia Atlantic, Century Link, Level 3 Communications, and XO Communications added substantial amounts of bandwidth within the past month.

With the explosion of mobile connectivity and subsequent applications such as mobile video, network providers must differentiate their services by offering more reliable and higher speed broadband access services. In addition to enabling dozens of unique providers to offer extremely competitive prices, Markley Group makes it more desirable for end-users to procure IP transit or voice services either through lit circuits or through the provisioning of dark, unlit fiber.

With more than 75 distinct on-net network providers, Markley's 920,000 square foot facility has become the highest-density network zone in New England and the ideal location for Boston's premier Internet exchange.
