[May 14, 2013] CITIC Capital to Privatize AsiaInfo-Linkage Tweet BEIJING, May 14, 2013 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Foreign media reports said that a consortium led by CITIC Capital has agreed to acquire AsiaInfo-Linkage Inc. (Nasdaq: ASIA) listed in the US for USD 12 per share. Thus, evaluation of the acquisition target is around USD 890 million. AsiaInfo-Linkage revealed that it received privatization offer from CITIC Capital as early as last January. AsiaInfo-Linkage mainly offers software products to telecom carriers including China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. The consortium led by CITIC Capital confirmed that they will pay the consideration in cash. The consortium also included Singaporean sovereign fund Temasek Holdings and CITIC Capital has invited Morgan Stanley as chief financial advisor.
