NetCracker Completes BSS/OSS Upgrades for Telenor Denmark Delivering Improved System Performance and Reduced OpEx

NICE, France --(Business Wire)--

NetCracker (News - Alert) Technology announced today that it has completed a series of BSS/OSS system upgrades for Telenor Denmark, including an update of the NetCracker rating and billing solution Telenor (News - Alert) uses for its DSL service. To transition key support systems to current versions, and thus enable Telenor Denmark to optimize performance and reduce operational costs through enhanced efficiency, NetCracker applied its proven system integration methodology.

Telenor Denmark is a leading mobile operator and fixed broadband operator in Denmark. A subsidiary of the Telenor Group, Telenor's service portfolio in Denmark includes mobile and fixed-line telephone, VoIP, cable TV, and IPTV (News - Alert) for business and residential customers throughout the country.

This upgrade project involved a large and diverse set of technologies that impacted many of Telenor Denmark's existing systems from back-end usage channel networks, mediation systems, and data warehouses, to user-facing CRM, and front-end Web systems. As a preferred vendor and integrator for Telenor Denmark, NetCracker was given responsibility for the design, development, testing, and implementation of the updates to its rating and billing solution, as well as those for a number of third-party systems, all while meeting Telenor's strict system performance acceptance criteria. With the support system upgrades complete, Telenor is benefiting from enhanced system capabilities and improved service from its vendos.

"NetCracker has demonstrated that it is a reliable vendor partner committed to helping us meet our technology goals and to providing us with a stable, flexible billing solution for our DSL service," said Arne Bøch Andersen, CTO, Telenor Denmark. "We are extremely pleased that NetCracker managed the system integration aspect of this challenging project to ensure its success as well as the optimization of our support infrastructure."

"The strong collaboration between NetCracker and Telenor Denmark made the seamless implementation of these upgrades possible," said Sylvain Seignour, Vice President Americas and Europe at NetCracker. "As Telenor's trusted partner, we will continue to provide them with the quality BSS/OSS products, solutions, and services they need in order to support their business objectives."
