Taiwan Province of China : QUAD-CORE smartphone in Taiwan to be founded by ACER [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Acer Inc., Taiwanese computer maker is contriving to introduce its first quad-core smartphone on May 14 for boosting its product portfolio in the fast-growing market of low-cost handsets.

Acer will also hold a press conference for the launching of Liquid E2 with Chunghwa Telecom Co., Taiwan's largest mobile operator, stated by the company.

Earlier, in Europe the device was first revealed on 24th April and due to go on sale in Belgium, the Netherlands, Ukraine, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Russia from mid-May at a suggested price of 229 euros (US$297).

Nevertheless, S.T. Liew, president of Acer's smartphone business group, stated that, Acer also contrives to set up six or seven new smartphones in 2013, and also targetted for to sell 1.5 million to 2 million smartphones, up from 500,000 to 600,000 units shipped last year.
