Zettics Opens Offices in Europe and APAC


May 13, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Zettics, a provider of big data mobile analytics for operators, announced global office expansion.

According to a release, as part of Zettics' expansion, Ken Parkinson has joined the Company as VP of Sales for EMEA, and Paul Ash joins as VP of Sales for APAC.

Commenting on the expansion, Sterling Wilson, President and CEO at Zettics, said, "The explosive growth of data services in Europe and Asia has driven an increased demand for world-class big data mobile analytics. We are excited to open offices in London and Singapore to support customers and accelerate growth in the regions. Ken and Paul bring deep industry expertise, and exceptional regional business development experience." The company said that, as VP of Sales for EMEA, Ken Parkinson will be responsible for managing key operator accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and growing Zettics' customer base in the region. Ken brings over 20 years of experience in telecommunications consulting, services, and platform sales. Prior to joining Zettics, Ken held senior positions at Accenture, assisting operators including Vodafone Group, Orange, SingTel, Celcom, and others, implement profitable and effective music services. Ken previously worked at Mformation and Qpass, successfully building, managing, and growing their EMEA operations.

Paul Ash joins as VP of Sales for APAC, opening Zettics' first office in Singapore, with a focus to drive company sales and business development strategies for the region. Prior to joining Zettics, Paul was at IBM, where he held Regional Sales responsibility for the Big Data portfolio across Asia. Previously, Paul was General Manager of Netezza, managing India, South Asia, ASEAN and ANZ markets. Paul has also held senior executive roles at NexTone Communications, ITXC (Teleglobe), and Netway (Telecom NZ).

John Gillespie, SVP at Zettics, will be speaking at the upcoming Forum Management World Conference in Nice, France, May 13 to 16. At the conference, Zettics will join SingTel Optus, and Telefonica Digital on a panel to discuss 'Making Big Data as a Service Work.'
