AAPSI Foresees Conclusion of Database On Internet Infrastructure(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Angolan Association of Internet Service Providers (AAPSI) foresees the conclusion this year of statistics that will rule the real capacity of the existing infrastructure in this area, as well as increase the level of professionalism of its members. The fact was disclosed by the chairman of AAPSI, Silvio Almada when speaking Thursday to the press on the Annual General Meeting aimed at approving the report and accounts for 2012, and outlining activities for the current year. According to him, among the tasks performed by AAPSI last year stress went to the expanding of the interconnection capacity among members with an update of this infrastructure that interconnects all providers in a gigabyte door. As for 2013, he added, the institution is expected to conclude the statistics that will dictate the real capacity of the existing infrastructure in this field, as well as professionalise a little more the association, thus increasing the academic levels of the staff within required specific professionalization. According to him, the major AAPSI objective is to keep its members updated with exchanges of information and services among themselves, with a view to ensuring better service to consumers, the users.
