[May 09, 2013] Switzerland : In NYON, Swisscom and TRN to form a fibre-optic network [TendersInfo (India)] Tweet (TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Swisscom and Telereseau de la Region Nyonnaise (TRN) have gained a deal for preparing for a fibre-optic network in the town of Nyon and on 7th May it is scheduled to ink a a Letter of Intent. The first stage focuses on to nexus the north part of the town, covering around 8,800 homes and businesses, by end-2015. Swisscom and TRN will share the costs incurred by this construction work equally. As per the letter of intent, new lines will be laid by both companies: Swisscom will connect 36 percent of inhabitants and will also be responsible for laying the fibre-optic cables between neighbourhoods and the central exchange.
