CalAmp reports higher Q4 net income, provides outlook for Q1


May 07, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- CalAmp Corp., which develops and markets wireless technology solutions, has reported a net income of $32.63 million, or $1.06 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter ended February 28, 2013, compared to $1.64 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, for the same quarter ended February 28, 2012. The company expects GAAP-basis net income in the range of $0.01 to $0.05 per diluted share for the first quarter of fiscal 2014.

Revenues for the fourth quarter ended February 28, 2013 were $48.39 million, compared to $37.62 million for the same quarter ended February 28, 2012.

Net income for the year ended February 28, 2013 was $44.63 million, or $1.49 per diluted share, compared to $5.22 million, or $0.18 per diluted share, for the same period ended February 28, 2012.


Revenues for the year ended February 28, 2013 were $180.58 million, compared to $138.73 million for the same period ended February 28, 2012.

The company expects consolidated revenue in the range of $50 to $54 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2014.
