Network Test Selects Spirent for Testing Reliability and Scale of HP Enterprise Fabric Solutions

Spirent Communications, a global leader in network, devices and services testing solutions, today announced that independent testing lab Network Test used Spirent TestCenter to verify the performance of the HP FlexFabric data center portfolio.

Key highlights of the test:

• Network Test used Spirent (News - Alert) TestCenter to verify line-rate performance of 128 40GbE ports on the HP FlexFabric 12910, making this one of the industry's largest public 40G Ethernet test. In addition, the test lab validated performance and scale of 64-ports of 40 GbE on the HP FlexFabric 11908, supporting more than 128,000 hosts such as virtual machines and srvers.
• The test demonstrated the high-performance routing capability of HP FlexFabric 12910 and 11908-V, setting a new benchmark by highlighting control-plane scalability of up to 255,000 networks. The HP 12910 and 11908-V were also validated with new networking standards such as Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links (TRILL) that enables enterprises to build large layer-2 network fabrics.
• Network Test also verified the HP HSR6808 router's ability to deliver the scalability and reliability to help enterprises deploy public and private cloud services to hundreds of thousands of users without compromise.
