Marcus Alexander Joins Leadership Team at Answers

Answers, the world's most popular destination for trusted Q&A content, today announced the appointment of Marcus Alexander as Vice President and Corporate Controller.

Alexander brings 15 years of financial experience to Answers. He was most recently Corporate Controller for Aegion Corporation, a NASDAQ-listed company based in Chesterfield, MO where he was responsible for all corporate and worldwide business unit accounting functions. Prior to that, he worked in financial roles at The Doe Run Company and Arch Coal, as well as in public accounting at Ernst & Young and Deloitte (News - Alert) & Touche.

"Marcus is a valuable addition to our management team," said Matt Derdeyn, CFO of Answers. "In his new role, Alexander will drive the iplementation of a more robust financial system and control environment, further strengthening our finance team."

Alexander is the fourth senior executive to join the Answers team in the last six months. Peter Horan (News - Alert), former CEO of About.com and IAC, joined the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in December 2012. Matt Derdeyn, who formerly served as Senior Vice President - Corporate Finance at Charter Communications (News - Alert), Inc., was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in January 2013. John Henderson, a former TripAdvisor sales executive, joined Answers as Senior Vice President of Sales in April 2013.
