"Dell" "iPhone" And "iPad" Top April Online Shopping Searches

San Mateo, CA, May 03, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- BuyVia, an app/website that stores shopping searches and preferences in the cloud and delivers the best online/local buys to all your devices, today released analytics detailing the most searched and clicked products among the 1 million aggregated from around the Web. The analytics revealed that "Dell," "iPhone," "iPad," "Nexus," and "Samsung Galaxy Note" were the top five most searched items through the website while "TV," "iPad," "Kindle Fire," "Laptop," and "iPad Mini" were the five most searched items through the app. All are in order of popularity. BuyVia analytics also showed that the most clicked-on item via the website was the Droid Razr Maxx HD, an indication that consumers may be interested in switching from iOS devices to Android competitors, especially given that the Samsung Galaxy S3 was one of the most clicked on items via BuyVia's app.

"Tablets were an extremely popular search in April with the iPad, iPad Mini, and Kindle Fire all making our top searched items list multiple times," said Norman Fong, CEO and Co-Founder of BuyVia. "The spike in tablet searches could be an indication that consumers are gearing up for summer travel, or gifts for Moms, Dads and Grads. Regardless, this dramatic increase in tablet searches supports that tablet devices could be replacing the necessity for laptops." BuyVia App and Website Demographics Since its launch in November, BuyVia app users have been primarily female (60%), but April website analytics showed that men represented the majority (78%) of online shoppers. The majority of BuyVia app users (37%) are between the ages of 35 and 54, while the majority of BuyVia website visitors (23%) are between the ages of 25 and 34. Additional demographics show that 58% of visitors to BuyVia's website do not have children (down from 73% last month), and 94% are located in North America. Currently, 35% of BuyVia users access the app via an iPhone 4s, 30% via an iPhone 5 (an increase for the second month in a row), 22% via an iPhone 4 and 3% from an iPad.
