WiredRE and DBT-DATA Partner for Cloud, Colocation and Data CentersMay 02, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Wired Real Estate Group Inc. a national data center advisor, and DBT-DATA HOLDINGS, an independent data center developer in Virginia, have agreed to jointly develop the cloud, colocation and data center market. According to a release, both firms have experienced growth above their peer groups owing to their focus on cloud, colocation and telecom users. The announcement falls on the heels of the recent announcement by WiredRE of their planned purchase of Phoenix-based cloud, colocation and data center research firm, Applied Computer Research, Inc. ("ACR"). "We intend to be the #1 resource for cloud, colocation, and data centers, and this collaboration is a reflection of our increasing market share and our singular focus on that goal," commented Everett Thompson, CEO, WiredRE. "Tolson and his team have a great product and market experience, and we're confident in our planned success in Ashburn adjacent markets." Each of DBT's facility is within 300 yards of Equinix peering points each site features access to the Woodlawn Conduit System. These conduits bring together multiple carriers in large count duct banks providing substantial time and cost benefits to users. DBT-DATA has leased the first of four sites to RagingWire, and additional sites already owned and permitted for developed as new construction include network connectivity from AboveNet, Comcast, FiberGate, FiberLight, Level 3 Communications, Verizon Business and XO Communications. Additionally, each site has access to reclaimed water in partnership with Loudoun Water. Reclaimed water is inexpensive, green, and acts as a secondary source for redundancy.
