[May 01, 2013] Harris CapRock installs new communications systems for Royal Caribbean Cruises Tweet May 01, 2013 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Communications and IT company Harris (NYSE:HRS) reported today that its Harris CapRock Communications business, which specialises in managed communication solutions for remote and harsh environments, has completed a fleet installation for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Harris CapRock installed advanced communications solutions onboard 33 Royal Caribbean Cruises vessels over a period of nine months, with the de-installation and installation of more than 120 large antenna systems. Each ship was equipped with Harris CapRock's SpaceTrack stabilised antenna systems, which deliver more than five times the amount of bandwidth previously available. The solution combines Ku-band and C-band connectivity to maximise service availability and avoid downtime, Harris said. No financial details were given.
