UDA is an open-source acceleration package accelerating Hadoop Map Reduce framework, and provides RDMA acceleration for the shuffle and merge process within the MapReduce analytical engine. The RDMA capabilities deliver a lower latency, higher bandwidth data movement in the Hadoop cluster, while lowering the CPU overhead for handing network operations.
