Red Lion Hotels upgrading with Telkonet's EthoStream HSIA networkApr 26, 2013 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Telkonet Inc. (OTCBB: TKOI) division EthoStream said that Red Lion Hotels (NYSE: RLH) has contracted the HSIA provider for end-to-end upgrades of the wireless networks at corporate-owned sites. The hotelier said it will invest over half of am dollars on new networks in the second quarter, bringing the hotels to the newest wireless standards. EthoStream initially installed Telkonet iWire PLC-networks and 802.11g wireless networks in all corporate-owned locations beginning in June 2008 and has been supporting the properties ever since. To provide superior service to their guests, Red Lion recognized the importance of an aggressive technology refresh cycle and will move forward with Ruckus 802.11n wireless networks at the properties. The new networks have been designed to include 500 new access points featuring Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi technology. Each hotel network will be managed through a Ruckus Zonedirector controller which will manage settings, coordinate channels, optimize wireless power output, and ensure seamless roaming throughout the hotel.
