UC Davis Medical Center Partners With TriZetto Provider Solutions to Streamline Billing

UC Davis Medical Center has selected ClaimLogic, a business unit of TriZetto Provider Solutions, as its claims-processing partner to provide tools that will streamline the billing processes of its more than 870 providers.

TriZetto's (News - Alert) tools have successfully bridged the gap between institutional and professional claims processing, a particularly beneficial capability for organizations such as UC Davis that handle both inpatient and outpatient claims. UC Davis will begin processing professional claims with TriZetto at 70 clinics and offices this summer on their Siemens (News - Alert) platform, and then expand to include the organization's hospital billing in 2014 with the implementation and go-live of Epic Systems.

Through its integration with Epic, TriZetto's solutions will help UC Davis' staff reduce time spent processing claims and will help their providers get paid more quickly and accurately by eliminating unnecessary errors in the billing process. TriZetto will simplify UC Davis' billing process by automating claim workflows and enabling billers to make claims edits directly within the Epic system instead of having to switch between two separate platforms.
