[April 24, 2013] Albertini Group Places F5 Networks Board Members Tweet Apr 24, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Albertini Group, an executive search firm, announced the placement of two new board members, Sandra Bergeron and Steve Smith, for F5 Networks. According to a release, Bergeron is a technology industry executive. Smith is Chief Executive Officer, President, and member of the board of directors of Equinix, the global interconnection and data center company. "Our task at Albertini Group is to find a perfect fit for company's most important hires," said Nancy Albertini, Founder and CEO of Albertini Group. Bergeron currently serves on the board of directors for a number of IT cloud security and data protection providers, specifically Qualys, Inc.; Sophos, Inc.; and TraceSecurity, where she also serves as chairman. Bergeron has previously served on the board of directors for two security management companies, TriCipher and ArcSight, Inc. Bergeron was a venture partner at Trident Capital, Inc. from 2004 until 2012, and she was also an executive with McAfee, Inc. Smith currently serves on the board of directors of Volterra Semiconductor Corp., and previously served as a director of 3PAR, Inc. Smith served as Senior Vice President at HP Services, a business segment of Hewlett-Packard Co., from January 2005 to October 2006, before joining Equinix in April 2007. He previously served as Vice President of Global Professional and Managed Services at Lucent Technologies, Inc. During the course of 17 years working with Electronic Data Systems Corp., a business and technology solutions company, Smith held various management and sales positions, including Chief Sales Officer, President of EDS Asia-Pacific, and President of EDS Western Region.
