Tiburon Reports Strong First Quarter Performance and Positive Outlook Heading Into Second Quarter

SAN RAMON, CA, Apr 23, 2013 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Tiburon, Inc., the public safety and security industries' leading provider of integrated computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and records management system (RMS) solutions for secure cloud or on-premises deployments, today announced strong first quarter performance and a positive outlook leading into the second quarter of 2013.

During the first quarter, Tiburon reported major client awards for replacement, upgrades/migrations and significant add-on software sales as leading factors to its strong performance. Major client awards include City of Addison, Texas, City of Fife, Washington, St.

Clair County, Illinois, Wood County 9-1-1, West Virginia, and a UNIX to Windows(R) platform migration for the City of Reno, Nevada.

The City of Addison, Texas, City of Fife, Washington, and St. Clair County, Illinois selected Tiburon to upgrade their current Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System (RMS) to the industry's fastest growing multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional, cloud-enabled platform -- Tiburon's CAD and RMS. These agencies are choosing the secure-cloud deployment model because of the security, availability, and cost-saving benefits that are leading many public safety and 9-1-1 agencies worldwide to migrate to the cloud.

The City of Addison, Texas upgrade includes a secure-cloud deployment of Tiburon CAD, Mobile and RMS systems with 7 CAD licenses, 26 mobile licenses, WebCAD and 75 RMS positions to help the city's police and fire-rescue departments enhance their community protective services and to curb IT costs.

The Fife, Washington Police Department upgrade includes a 4-position CAD system with 67 Mobiles and 120 RMS users and features interfaces to the State of Washington and APCO Advisor and also includes remote upgrades, services and training. The Fife Police Department's Emergency Communications Center serves as the primary answering point for all emergency services calls in five neighboring cities and supports 10 local agencies including law enforcement agencies, fire departments, rescue squads, and an array of other service agencies.

St. Clair County, Illinois elected to add Tiburon RMS to their current secure-cloud Tiburon CAD configuration with both systems to serve as a single integrated platform in a cloud environment. The Tiburon RMS purchase will reduce IT costs and includes 200 user licenses shared evenly between St. Clair County Sheriff/St Clair County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) and City of Belleville Police Department. St. Clair County successfully went live on their Tiburon CAD system on April 2nd. The solution consists of 15 CAD positions, 10 WebCAD concurrent licenses, 27 Mobiles, State interface and ProQA EMS interface.

Wood County 9-1-1, West Virginia, selected Tiburon to upgrade their existing CAD system that includes 15-position licenses for Tiburon CAD and licenses for WebCAD and CADMonitor -- all deployed in a traditional on-premises fashion (Tiburon CAD is also available in a secure-cloud deployment model). The contract also features VM Server Hardware, Onsite Cutover Support, Onsite User Training and Interfaces for seamless data sharing and reporting with the State of West Virginia, APCO Advisor and XML Records Management.

Also in the first quarter, the City of Reno, Police Department selected Tiburon to migrate their Unix-based CAD/2000 system to Windows and Tiburon CAD and their aging Mobile Data Systems (MDS) to the latest version of Windows-based Tiburon Mobile.
