BuildingIQ Welcomes Four New Industry Veterans to the Team

BuildingIQ, a leading building energy management software company, today welcomes four new members to the team - Greg Brewer, vice president of sales; Adam Benson, vice president of engineering; Cindy Anderson, senior director of marketing; and Chris Tomasini, director of sales. Each brings decades of industry experience to BuildingIQ (News - Alert), which recently announced $9 million in venture funding from tier one industry leaders Aster Capital (backed by Schneider Electric, Alstom and Solvay), the Venture Capital unit of Siemens (News - Alert) Financial Services (SFS VC) and Paladin Capital.

Brewer brings more than 20 years of experience in increasing market share and generating double-digit growth in start-ups and established organizations. His expertise also includes mergers and acquisitions, haing led the sale of Philips Global Controls to Philips Lighting and Controls as well as the acquisition of Cooper Industries by Eaton Global. His time with General Electric, Rockwell Automation (News - Alert), Siemens Energy and Automation, and Philips Global Controls makes him a fixture in the building automation market. Additional work with Intel, Hyundai, Applied Materials, PG&E (News - Alert), and SDG&E will bolster BuildingIQ's pre-existing partnerships.

Benson joins BuildingIQ with an extensive background in developing and commercializing technology from embedded systems to cloud based services. As the vice president of engineering and IT at BuildingIQ, he will be responsible for research and development and IT, creating BuildingIQ's award winning building management optimization technology. Having held leadership positions across several technology giants from Oracle, TowersWatson and OpenTV (News - Alert), Benson will work to provide the best predictive energy software in the industry.

Anderson comes to BuildingIQ with more than 15 years combined experience in the technology and building management systems space, including extensive work with Honeywell, Global Energy Partners (EnerNOC), EPRI and Clean Urban Energy. Her expertise includes driving major marketing campaigns and product launches in the technology space. Prior to joining the BuildingIQ team, she worked closely with major commercial customers to provide energy and sustainability solutions across the country.

With an exemplary sales record and more than 20 years of energy efficiency experience, Tomasini is BuildingIQ's newest director of sales, concentrating on the eastern U.S. His leadership experience at Siemens and FirstFuel Software provide the foundation for Tomasini to continue to drive business development and growth through key relationships with leading BuildingIQ customers and partners.
