Advantech-DLoG launches new TREK-722/723 mobile data terminalApr 12, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Advantech-DLoG, a provider of mobile computing platform, has announced the launch of new TREK-722/723, an all-in-one, RISC-based mobile data terminal, available with a five inch or seven inch display. TREK-722/723 is designed especially for the local fleet market: local & private delivery, armor cash carriers, postal trucks, government vehicles, couriers, and LTL (less-than-truckload) carriers. The special security design enhances fleet management efficiency and reduces storage risks with its 24/7 monitoring, the company said. TREK-722/723 works in a wide temperature range and has a 12V/24V certified power profile. Lowpower consumption means it can continue to operate even when the engine is off for an extended time. Advanced shock and vibration features are part of TREK-722/723's design (MIL-STD-810G/ Class 5M3 in accordance with DIN EN 60721-3-5), and with USB, RS-232 & DI/DO connectors, the system is equipped to connect to a variety of peripherals, such as a card reader, temperature sensor or door sensor, the company added. TREK-722/723's communication options include: CAN-Bus with J1939 support, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth, and cellular support (GPRS/CDMA/HSPA+).
