BRIEF: AT&T to create more than 200 jobs in South Florida


Apr 09, 2013 (Sun Sentinel - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- AT&T will create 350 jobs in Florida -- with about 200 of them in South Florida -- to support expansion its national wireless and wired IP broadband networks, the company announced with the Governor's Office on Tuesday.

About 70 of the jobs will be in Broward County and more than 50 in Palm Beach County, said Kelly Starling, spokeswoman for AT&T in Florida.

The positions will be for network engineers, customer service and retail, she said.


AT&T is making a three-year $14 billion investment to expand and enhance its national wireless and wireless IP broadband networks.
