This order has a value of GBP 3.7 million (= CHF 5.3 million), and is another big step in Ascom's planned strategic approach in the UK healthcare market. Ascom successfully won a new contract through a competitive tender process issued by King's Health Partners, one of England's five Academic Health Sciences Centers (AHSC). Ascom was appointed as the principal contractor to supply an enterprise-wide end-to-end staff protection alarm solution to South London & Maudsley NHS (National Health Service) Foundation Trust ( www.slam.nhs.uk ). South London & Maudsley NHS Trust is member of the King's Health Partners organization and one of the largest mental health trusts within the UK, with 68 inpatient wards across multiple hospital sites, offering a wide range of services.
