ACT-IAC to Host Management of Change 2013

The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC (News - Alert)), the premier government IT community's public-private partnership, today announced that it will host the 33^rd annual Management of Change Conference on May 19-21, 2013 at the Hyatt Chesapeake in Cambridge, Md. Themed "Partnership, Change, and Action," this education and training event will feature more than 30 other government leaders, including keynote speaker Colonel Gregory D. Gadson, Fort Belvoir Garrison Commander, U.S. Army.

"We are facing unprecedented hurdles in government, and it is important now more than ever for government IT leaders to seize on career- and solution-building opportunities," said Izella Dornell, Government Chair for MOC 2013. "It is only through collaborative, cross-sector, cross-discipline forums such as MOC that we'll be able to break down the barriers to building a culture of innovation, delivering on government priorities and realizing the full potential of shared services."

As one of the longest running, premier learning events in the government IT industry,MOC convenes diverse perspectives to arrive at informed, balanced solutions to the most critical government challenges. Attendees hail from small and large businesses and government agencies, academia, and across a wide spectrum of disciplines including management, policy, acquisition, human capital, and IT.

"By operating with a ratio of no more than three industry attendees for every government attendee, MOC's small, intimate format allows for robust, balanced discussion of the issues," said Terry Miller, the MOC 2013 Industry Chair. "Furthermore, MOC offers numerous learning and sharing opportunities between the Technology Showcase, MOC University, CXO Roundtable and tracks and breakout sessions."

At MOC, rising and established government and industry professionals can gain practical knowledge that can be applied right away, while earning Continuing Education Units and Professional Development Units to advance their career. MOC 2013's primary tracks include:

• The Power of Innovation - Attendees will explore how to foster a culture of innovation within their agencies, as well as provide first-person accounts of innovation success.
• Drivers and Government Priorities - Attendees will learn about the challenges to and requirements for success and cost savings for information sharing programs.
• Partnering for Agency Mission Delivery - Attendees will learn how to use shared services in faster improvement cycles, about major improvements achieved by others and how you can replicate them for your organization.
