Synapse Wireless appoints new presidentMar 13, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Synapse Wireless, a provider of cloud-enabled, machine-to-machine communication solutions, has appointed Todd Holt as its new president. Mr Holt will be responsible for directing the custom solutions and horizontal market businesses in Synapse's core market of cloud-enabled, machine-to-machine (M2M) communication solutions. Synapse will draw on his experience in corporate strategy, M&A, capital structure and IPOs to help direct the rapid growth planned for the company. "Todd brings to Synapse over 15 years of effective business leadership in dynamic, high growth environments and has a successful track record building companies to significant scale," said Wade Patterson, CEO of Synapse Wireless. "He is an excellent match to help us leverage the competitive advantages of our SNAP wireless mesh network platform into a much wider range of M2M solutions and markets." Mr Holt was most recently President of Knology Inc., where he spent the last 15 years of his career. He also served as Knology's CFO during this time. "Joining the Synapse team and leading the expansion of cloud services as a seamless interface to M2M networks is an exciting and important next step for the company," explains Todd Holt, President of Synapse Wireless. "M2M communications, also known as the Internet of Things, is poised for significant long-term growth and Synapse is at the very core of its development." Mr Holt will lead Synapse's expansion into horizontal markets with component products and cloud solutions, as well as expand its custom solutions business to provide complete product and cloud solutions throughout the M2M marketplace. Synapse also announced that Royce Ard has joined Synapse as vice president of Marketing.
