Nexant's Terry Fry Named to Commerce Department Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Committee

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--

Nexant announced today that Terry Fry, Senior Vice President of Nexant's Demand Management business solutions, has been reappointed to the Department of Commerce Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RE&EE) Advisory Committee.

The committee plays an important advisory role, making recommendations to the Obama administration on ways to improve the export competitiveness of the RE&EE sector as well as recommending policies for reducing oil imports, increasing renewable electricity generation, boosting fuel economy standards, and increasing energy efficiency and clean energy investments.

"For many years, Nexant professionals have focused on developing and implementing energy efficiency and clean energy solutions for companies and governments around the world," said Basem Sarandah, NexantCEO. "Whether he's providing impartial testimony or advice to local, state, and national governments; serving on important international bodies such as the China-US Energy Efficiency Alliance; or helping to develop and promote integrated energy efficiency solutions, Terry has been a leader in this industry-and we are honored by his reappointment to the RE&EE committee."

Fry joins a select group of private-sector representatives whose appointments to the newly re-chartered RE&EE committee were recently announced by U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank. Committee members come from a diverse group of companies, industry associations, and non-profit organizations representing critical energy sectors such as wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, hydropower, biofuels, fuel cells, smart grid, and energy efficiency.

As a provider to all RE&EE sectors, Nexant is recognized for its effective and efficient demand management solutions.
