Narus Unveils Groundbreaking Information Security Solution

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and SUNNYVALE, CA, Feb 28, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- RSA CONFERENCE 2013 -- Narus, Inc., a leader in big data analytics for cybersecurity solutions, today introduced Narus N10, its first commercially available cloud-based information security solution.

Narus N10 is built on the principles of Cyber 3.0, using automated, machine learning to gain incisive insight into who is accessing an organization's proprietary information and how they are using it.

With Narus N10, intellectual property is protected without affecting the collaboration and accessibility required by today's businesses.

Organizations rely on a multitude of security solutions in order to protect their intellectual property, digital assets, sensitive data and classified materials. Yet they must often cede some control of these security layers to encourage collaboration and accessibility among business users. This practice leaves an organization open to breaches. What's needed is a single solution that delivers complete control, while still enabling collaboration and access to important materials.

Narus N10 protects sensitive data through a secure, cloud-based environment, proprietary encryption, and bulletproof authentication and authorization, while facilitating accessibility and collaboration among end users. Based on machine learning, which is a foundational element of Cyber 3.0, Narus N10 ensures only authorized users can access an organization's information, and that they use it appropriately. The technology's multi-factor authentication enables remote access to secure data using login credentials, smartcard, multi-angle face biometrics and geo-user fencing. Its proprietary encryption enables automatic shredding of a digital document into several pieces, distribution of the pieces for storage, and reconstruction of the document. Complete control over the information is provided by secure containment in the access environment; granular access control; rendering (meaning the information does not exist in a whole form until assembled at the user's request); and audit trails using fingerprinting, watermarking and log-pattern analysis.

"Narus N10 addresses a conundrum faced by organizations for the past two decades: how to securely share information and encourage collaboration without putting the integrity of the information at risk," said John Trobough, president, Narus. "With the hyper-connectivity that characterizes our current networked world, only a solution like Narus N10 that uses machine learning can extend an organization's secure perimeter and stand up to today's security challenges." Narus executives will showcase Narus N10 at Booth No. 1841 at the RSA Conference 2013 in San Francisco. Please visit the RSA website to register for the event.
