Bull to Expand U.S. Presence by Launching Bullion Channel Partner Program at VMware Partner Exchange 2013

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 26 February 2013 Release date- 25022013 - Phoenix, AZ - Bull announced today that it will formally launch a Channel Partner Program to market and sell bullion servers in the U.S. during VMware Partner Exchange 2013 in Las Vegas February 25th through the 28th.

According to Jim Custer, Bull U.S. Director of Sales and Marketing, 'Our partnership with VMware makes Partner Exchange an ideal venue to introduce this technology and partner program to the U.S. market. We believe that the bullion server offering will create an attractive and accretive alternative for partners and customers alike.' The bullion server platform was born from the company's legacy in mainframe and extreme computing and is an x86 server certified by VMware to scale to 16 CPUs, (up to 160 cores). The Bull (BCS) node controller technology allows for nearly linear scalability from 1-to-16 processors which enabled it to achieve the world's fastest SPECint_rate2006rate benchmark. Due to the platform's scalability, reliability and affordability, bullion servers are ideally suited for use in the virtualization of business-critical applications, hyper-consolidation, private cloud, and proprietary-to-standard architecture migrations.

'We are pleased to partner with Bull in expanding their reach in the global market,' said Scott Musson, senior director, Alliances, VMware. 'Together, Bull and VMware can help customers address the challenge of virtualizing business critical applications using scalable, cost-effective, standards-based technologies to achieve the benefits of the software-defined datacenter.' Bull first introduced the Bullion server in Europe and other select global regions in April 2010, and has since deployed to hundreds of customers including Xerox GDO, the French Ministry, major telecom operators, banks, and manufacturers. In addition, Bull has partnered with EMC to certify Bullion as an authorized server platform through the VSPEX program in conjunction with VMware and Brocade.
