Assero Security CEO Inducted as a Distinguished Fellow of ISSA

Assero Security, an industry leader in security risk assessment and policy creation, announced today its CEO, Doug Landoll, has been inducted as a distinguished fellow by the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)®. ISSA is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides educational forums, publications, and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill, and professional growth of its members. Less than 1% of ISSA members hold this distinction. Mr. Landoll is being recognized for his exceptional service to the security community and contribution to the international security posture based on his 25 years in the industry. Mr. Landoll has trained, mentored, lectured, and supervised thousands of information security professionals focusing on career development, security certification, governance and compliance, and information security risk assessments.

Mr. Landoll was the president of the Capital of Texas Chapter of ISSA in 2008, which was selected as the Chapter of the Year and has served on the Austin chapter board ever since. He is the author of the best selling textbook "Security Risk Assessment Handbook," now in its second edition and used as a standard text in many universities. He has founded three information security consulting companies and ran the professional security services team for several others. A formal ceremony inducting Mr. Landoll as a Distinguished Fellow will be held at the ISSA Member Reception during the RSA (News - Alert) Conference in San Francisco, February 26, 2013.

The ISSA is for international cyber-security professionals dedicated to advancing individual growth, managing technology risk and protecting critical information and infrastructure.
