Tilera's TILE-Gx Processor Powers Next-Generation Network Intelligence Solutions at RSA 2013
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Feb 25, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
(RSA 2013, Booth #2751) -- Tilera(R) Corporation, provider of the
advanced TILE-Gx(TM) family of 64-bit manycore general purpose
processors, today announced that it will showcase solutions that
power intelligent networks at the RSA Conference, February 25 through
March 1, 2013. The TILE-Gx family of processors and accompanying
standards-based software development environment is the leading
solution to enhance existing infrastructure with high-performance
Network Intelligence capabilities.
The exponential growth of IP traffic has created the need for
complete visibility to effectively manage network infrastructure. As
mobile services are being introduced at an increased pace, network
equipment designs have evolved from fixed function hardware to
software programmable platforms. By offering high-performance,
scalable compute with tightly integrated I/O, and standard C-based
programmability, Tilera's TILE-Gx family of 64-bit processors enable
customers to offer an agile, software programmable solution that
reduces time to market while delivering incredibly high performance
and power efficiency.
Tilera's 64-bit TILE-Gx processor family features variants from 9 to
72 processing cores with an integrated wire-speed packet processor
engine, multiple 10GbE/1GbE interfaces, high-performance PCI Express,
and cryptography acceleration engines. Utilizing the high-performance
PCI Express interface, the TILE-Gx can also be utilized to offload a
variety of functions from a host processor including Deep Packet
Inspection (DPI), Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS), SSL /
IPsec termination and flow export.
Tilera's Network Intelligence solutions will be showcased in the
following partner and customer booths at RSA:
AhnLab (Booth #951) - a leading provider of information security
products and services for consumers, enterprises, and small and
medium businesses worldwide, will showcase the AhnLab DPS 10000 DDoS
protection system utilizing the TILE-Gx platform.
American Portwell Technology, Inc. (Booth #438) - a world-leading
innovator in the Network Security market, will demonstrate its
CAT-5000 1RU solution featuring the TILE-Gx36 processor and targeted
towards security applications.
Interface Masters Technologies (Booth #117) - an industry leader and
innovator in network monitoring solutions, will be showcasing its
Smart NIC, Niagara 617, that is based on the Tilera TILE-Gx family of
processors and is capable of achieving up to 40Gbps of DPI.
Lanner Electronics, Inc. (Booth #316) - a world-leading provider of
design, engineering and manufacturing services, will showcase the
FW-8895 2U Rackmount Network Security System that incorporates up to
eight TILE-Gx36 processors offloading the host processors. Lanner
will show a live demonstration of Suricata IDS/IPS delivering 10Gbps
of throughput utilizing a single TILE-Gx36 processor.
SYSMATE (Booth #757) - a leader in DPI technology will showcase a
TILE-Gx powered packetLiner Traffic Management solution. The solution
identifies and classifies content in high-traffic network
environments and supports a range of processing applications such as
network traffic monitoring, network security, Quality of Service
(QoS) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
Separately, Tilera and Procera Networks, Inc. have announced that
they have achieved 200Gbps of DPI performance deploying the Procera
Network Application Visibility Library (NAVL) on the
TILExtreme-Gx(TM) Duo platform, utilizing about 70 percent of the
TILE-Gx cores. The demonstration will be featured in the Procera
Networks booth #2739 at the show.
