SAIC Receives Contract from Department of Defense [Professional Services Close - Up]


(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) announced it was awarded a prime contract by the Department of Defense (DoD) to provide manufacturing, systems engineering and integration support services.



According to a release, the single-award, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options and a total contract value of $65 million, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in Columbia, Md.

Under the contract, SAIC will support DoD in module and systems engineering, design, and manufacturing, as well as software development and antenna analysis and design. SAIC has provided DoD with manufacturing, systems engineering and integration support services for more than decade, most recently as part of the Manufacturing and Engineering Support contract.
