Cornerstone University Hosts Business Breakfast March 1 on "The Joy of Confrontation"

Grand Rapids, Michigan, Feb 20, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- As business leaders, we face potential situations of confrontation everyday. They come in the form of internal conflicts with colleagues as well as external conflicts with vendors, customers, affiliates, regulators, and more. These scenarios give us, as Christian business leaders, tremendous opportunities to resolve conflicts in an efficient, effective and God-honoring manner.

"Every business faces conflicts both internally and externally," said Bob Sack, executive director of marketing and communications at Cornerstone. "How the businesses confront those conflicts goes a long way to determining if the business is well-managed and effective. Appropriately confronting the problem can result in productive outcomes. It's an important topic." A panel of Grand Rapids business owners will give advice on how business leaders face confrontation every day and how it should be managed. The breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. with the presentation following in the Gainey Conference Center on campus.

Panelists include: Craig Baker, partner, First Companies; Bill McKendry, president, Hanon-McKendry; Skot Welch, president, Global Bridge Builders; and Dan Gaydou, president, MLive Media.

"The four should produce dynamic discussion on the value of confrontation through their respective experiences and ideas," said Sack. "Join us for stimulating discussion on how to cultivate healthy conflict within your company and why we should embrace the moments of confrontation."
