Lenovo Group to start sales of smart phones in Thailand this year, report


BEIJING, Feb 20, 2013 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- China's biggest PC maker the Lenovo Group (00992.HK; LNVGY.PK) will start to sell smart phones in Thailand, according to a report released Wednesday by the Bangkok Post.

Besides, the PC giant will also plans to introduce low cost tablet PC in Thailand's flouring education table PC market with a market price of 5,000 Thai Baht (about 104.69 yuan) each unit.

The report said that Lenovo Group has replaced HP as the second biggest PC vendor in Thailand in December last year with a market share of 11 percent, next only to Acer.




Lenovo Group will first introduce smart phone products in Thailand this year in Southeast Asia market, and it will open Indonesian market after that, according to the report. (Edited by Hou Yujie, [email protected])
