All prospective and experienced tutors are welcome at the event, which will include coffee and snacks. "Pay it forward, have a rewarding experience, use your communication and problem-solving skills to help someone and boost your resume," said Lindsay Harjo, the council's director. The workshop will include an introduction to the program and basic tutoring information that is geared for helping adults achieve their GED, learn English and develop their professional skills. Annette Rivers, owner of the Courtyard Salon and Spa in Centralia and Annette's Electrolysis and Permanent Cosmetics, is one of four technicians in the state to offer the non-invasive skin care treatment known as Meta therapy by Dermatude.
