BRIEF: Verizon regionally invests more than $75M


Feb 07, 2013 (El Paso Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Verizon Wireless invested more than $75 million during 2012 in El Paso and New Mexico to provide new wireless services, expanding network coverage and capacity for customers.



Verizon Wireless' network investment in El Paso and New Mexico totals more than $625 million since 2000.

"Our technology and networks help to make people stronger by delivering powerful solutions for consumers and businesses," said Andres Irlando, region president for Verizon Wireless.


As part of its 2012 network investment, Verizon Wireless expanded its 4G LTE network throughout New Mexico, including Alamogordo, Clovis, Farmington, Gallup, Grants, Ruidoso and Taos.

Verizon Wireless first launched its 4G LTE network in El Paso, Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Las Cruces in 2011.
