CloudTerrain selects CA AppLogic Cloud Platform

Feb 06, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- CA Technologies has announced that CloudTerrain Limited, a regional managed service provider, has selected the CA AppLogic Cloud Platform to launch its first SaaS-based Document Management System, or DMS, to SME customers in the legal and insurance industries.

By offering SaaS solutions, CloudTerrain is enabling its customers to acquire IT capabilities under a pay-as-you-go model that reportedly eliminates capital costs and that can scale up and down according to business requirements.

The CloudTerrain Document Management System uses a Software-as-a-Service delivery model. As a result, customers can harness the full capability of the solution and pay only according to the resources and duration of usage. CloudTerrain's DMS solution provides customers with a centralized repository for managing access to documents, images, video and other digital files. The system features a web-based interface that enables authorized users to access the DMS anywhere with any device.

CA AppLogic enabled CloudTerrain to design, develop deploy and manage its SaaS DMS solution while reducing costs and risks. It does this by facilitating the creation of virtual business services across private and public clouds using an intuitive virtual interface that makes it easy to define how an application is provisioned across multiple virtual infrastructure resources.

CA AppLogic also provides a browser-based interface for monitoring cloud applications after they are rolled out into production.

"Changing customer requirements have created a tremendous marketing opportunity for SaaS solutions and other cloud-based offerings," said Vander Ng, alliance director, Hong Kong and Taiwan, CA Technologies. "By adopting the CA AppLogic cloud platform, CloudTerrain has been able to successfully capture this market opportunity." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
