US Cellular and ZTE unveil 4G LTE mobile hotspot


Feb 05, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- US Cellular, a provider of wireless telecommunications network, and ZTE, a provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, have announced the availability of the 4G LTE mobile hotspot ZTE Unite.

The ZTE Unite 4G LTE mobile hotspot allows individuals to access the Internet with the devices they need regardless of location. Aligned with ZTE's focus on LTE products, the ZTE Unite 4G LTE mobile hotspot can support simultaneous connections for up to 10 devices when connected to the 4G LTE network, or up to five devices when connected to the 3G network. It supports Microsoft, Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OS and Linux, the company said.

"We understand that today's consumers require the latest in mobile technology and functionality in order to do their jobs and live their lives," said Lixin Cheng, CEO, ZTE USA, and president, North America Region, ZTE. "The new ZTE Unite 4G LTE mobile hotspot empowers our customers by providing Internet access anywhere it is needed for a multitude of devices over several varied operating systems and programs." Technical specifications include: 3G and 4G LTE data capability; usage time of upto 4 hours; standby time of upto 100 hours; a 1700mAh Li-ion battery, the company added.
